This study supported by the Bloomberg Harvard City Leadership Initiative explores the concept of "public narrative" as a powerful tool for leaders to access, articulate, and communicate shared values with their community. By sharing personal experiences that have shaped their motivations, leaders can forge connections among members of a constituency. Furthermore, highlighting the urgent challenges and aspirations of a community empowers them to take meaningful action. Public narrative thus offers a framework to harness the collective power of storytelling, enabling communities to unite and address pressing issues together.
